Abstract

I evaluated bias in antler measurements of harvested white-tailed deer (Odocoileus virginianusl aged by the tooth replace-ment and wear method. Antler measurements of harvested deer were compared to measurements of randomly captured deer aged by the cementum annuli technique on a south Texas ranch. There was little difference in the antler measurements of har-vested versus captured deer.
